In fall and spring, squirrels race across Asheville streets, forgetting all caution. Sometimes it seems they run at cars. While driving along a nearby road with a low speed limit, I watched the car in front of me run over this fellow. He or she seemed to have fallen in a pose. I stopped and took a photo. While I had it in mind to paint only survivor animals, this one called out to me.
